HONG KONG: Taking place at the Marriott Skycity Hotel in Hong Kong, beyerdynamic’s recent Asia Sales Summit attracted 35 participants from 10 countries, including distributors and beyerdynamic representatives from throughout Asia. The evening was intended to provide partners with insight into the company’s recent and future operations, as well as introduce and explore its latest products. A key highlight of the summit was the manufacturer’s new Orbis wired conference products.

In attendance from beyerdynamic was managing director Wolfgang Luckhardt, who gave a presentation outlining the company. Matthias Holz, business unit manager conference, followed with an introduction to the company’s newest conference products.

Head of global project management technical product support, Michael Pietschmann, was also present at the summit, and provided technical training for Orbis, Quinta and TG1000 systems. For Orbis, this focussed on the different possible network topologies, as well boardroom integration and the usage of various microphones types. The new RM31Q vertical microphone array was also highlighted. Based on the manufacturer’s Revoluto principle, the model features capsules arranged in an array that reportedly allows for greater freedom of movement for users.

The focus for the Quinta demonstrations was the new Quinta TH handheld transmitter, WA-CD charging device with TCP/IP interface for remote management and Quinta’s voting functionality based on new microphone units and a new software package. Additionally, Mr Pietschmann explained the essentials about antennas, antenna cables and antenna placement to provide the best coverage of the conference room.

Mr Pietschmann also introduced a new transmitter with rechargeable batteries for the TG1000. ‘Our partners have experienced the great new components and features of our existing products,’ he stated. ‘They have reported good experiences with beyerdynamic products in the field and are pleased with our good quality German manufacturing.’

Also supporting the summit on behalf of the manufacturer was Saadet Knopp, market manager APAC; Margarete Woltmann, international sales support APAC/India; Sabrina Katz, international sales support APAC/India; Anja Yates, senior business development manager APAC, Jason Zeng, sales manager Greater China; and Naveen Sridhar, sales manager India.

‘It was a very good and efficient use of time that we spent together with our sales partners,’ commented Mr Knopp. ‘The product training for TG 1000, Orbis and Quinta was very successful and well received by the sales partners.’

‘Our partners are very excited and are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to introduce these new products into their markets,’ added Ms Yates.
