BGVCD gives Ideal Adamson setup for Li Ronghao
CHINA: When Chinese pop singer, music producer and guitarist Li Ronghao’s Ideal World Tour kicked off at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai recently, Adamson partner, Beijing Global Visual Culture Development (BGVCD) Co Ltd, was given the opportunity to put its newly-acquired inventory of E-Series speakers to the test. The purchase gave BGVCD the largest Adamson offering in the country – about half of which was put to use on the tour.
‘We are using a combination of 36 E15, 42 E12, 16 E218 and 18 E219 on the tour,’ explained BGVCD owner, Li Ran. ‘This package provides the flexibility to cover virtually any venue we are dealing with.’
For the opening show at the Mercedes Benz Arena, BGVCD deployed a configuration of left-right hangs of 12 E15 over six E12 modules, with additional side hangs of 12 E12 cabinets each. Low-end was from 18 E219 subwoofers ground stacked in a horizontally-delayed arc, as well as two flown sub arrays comprising six E218s.
Li Ronghao uses a lot of acoustic instruments during his performances which were also well handled by the system, explained Jack Liaw, FOH engineer for Li Ronghao. ‘The E-Series system provides a very high dynamic range and even in super high SPL applications it retains a stable frequency response.’
‘The rigging is easy to operate and the cabinet shape and structure is quite strong,’ Mr Liaw added. ‘On this tour we travel long distances every day and the system performs very reliably every time. The coverage is outstanding and the bass is shocking – absolutely amazing. I like it very much.’
