Central Music in South West Berlin
CHINA: Eve Audio recently invited its Chinese distribution partner, Central Music, to visit its global headquarters in Berlin. Representatives from the distributor were already travelling to Germany, attending Pro Light & Sound in Frankfurt. The invitation was extended by the manufacturer’s founder, Roland Stenz, and sales and marketing director, Kerstin Mischke.
Eve’s facility is located 20km Southwest of Berlin’s city centre and en route, Ms Mischke served as a tour guide for the Central Music team, discussing local historical landmarks. Upon arrival at Eve headquarters, they were treated to a tour of the site’s office space, R&D room, production area and loading bay, as well as the anechoic chamber and echo room. Product demonstrations were presented in the showroom.
Inside the anechoic chamber, which pre-dates Eve’s residence at the facility having been built in the 1950s by former tenant the Central Bureau of Radio and Television, Mr Stenz demonstrated the acoustic measurement that each of the manufacturer’s systems is subject to during design. The results are reported through software that the Eve Audio founder himself developed.
‘With Central Music we have a very close relationship and we meet with them regularly,’ explained Ms Mischke. ‘We had the chance to visit with them last year at the Music China show in Shanghai and later this year we plan to visit their Bejiing headquarters. Central Music works very hard to represent our studio monitors in China. To show them our factory and how our products are made provides support and understanding that will help them to explain, demonstrate and sell our solutions.’
