CKA adds more Adamson
LEBANON: Zouk Mikael-based rental company, CKA, has expanded its inventory of equipment from Adamson Systems Engineering with the purchase of the manufacturer’s S10 line array cabinets. The speakers were first put to use for a performance by the Kohar Symphony Orchestra and Choir.
The rental house already has an extensive inventory of Adamson gear. The S10 enclosures join the line up of E-Series, Metrix, Y10 and Spectrix line arrays, E218 and T21 subs, as well as M-Series stage monitors.
‘We have added 16 S10 modules to our inventory – which we are quite pleased with. We already have plans to keep them busy throughout the summer months,’ said Chadi Akiki, owner of CKA. ‘We take pride in providing top of the line equipment as well as a fully stocked parts and services department to ensure performance and reliability. The addition to our inventory will help us continue our goal of making every client’s idea come to life.’
CKA’s Adamson inventory was most recently put to the test for the recent performance of traditional Armenian music by the Kohar Symphony Orchestra and Choir at the Forum de Beirut. To meet the needs of the event, CKA hung left and right arrays comprising eight E12 per side, with a further six E12s for the centre cluster. Low end reinforcement was via eight E218 subwoofers in a centre cluster under the stage. CKA also called on eight Metrix line array enclosures for front-fills along the lip of the stage, while out-fill was handled by left and right arrays of six of the new S10 modules each.
‘The Forum has a high reverberation time which translates into pretty bad acoustics,’ said Mr Akiki. ‘The directionality of the Adamson PA was a tremendous help. The end result was quite exceptional. We provided the symphony with many product demonstrations and in the end they were sold on Adamson.’
