Coach Paint provides a winning formula for Aspire Academy
QATAR: Aspire Academy, a football training facility founded in 2004 to develop young Qatari athletes while simultaneously providing them with a secondary school education, has invested in 10 licences of ChyronHego’s Coach Paint video tool. The purchase will enable the academy’s entire coaching staff to teach and reinforce techniques concepts to improve the students’ games and to simulate game situations.
An out-of-the-box software solution, Coach Paint has been designed for use in all sports and provides the tools for highlighting aspects of play on video, such as player cut-out, spotlight, zoom, player tracking and zone tracking. The software also includes a chroma-keyer, which prevents the covering of elements such as field lines, players and balls when placing graphics on the screen.
‘At Aspire Academy we place a strong emphasis on applying advanced technologies in our elite-level training. Some of the biggest football clubs in Europe have adopted Coach Paint to improve their performance analysis, so we knew it would be a great fit here,’ noted Joao Nuno Fonseca, senior football match analyst for Aspire Academy and the U19 Qatar National team. ‘The software is tremendous because it gives us a flexible and easy-to-use tool for applying the same powerful visualisation and telestration effects seen on major sports broadcasts. We can just pick up a laptop and start using Coach Paint to enhance game and practice video footage and turn it into a teaching tool directly with the players.’
‘Aspire's purchase of so many Coach Paint licences is a huge vote of confidence in our solutions,’ added ChyronHego CEO and president, Johan Apel. ‘We've had a great deal of success with Coach Paint in football clubs throughout Europe, but Aspire Academy's selection is a huge step in the tool's global expansion. Coach Paint is an important link in our strategy to offer the world's most comprehensive and powerful graphics solutions for sports tracking and analysis.’
