WORLD: After more than a decade, Dave Agnew has rejoined GatesAir, taking on the newly created role of Intraplex channel manager. The Intraplex IP Link family is the manufacturer’s range of IP audio codecs. With an increase in opportunities for AoIP networking within the broadcasting and public safety sectors, as well as a reported rise in legacy STL and networking projects, GatesAir opted to create the role as part of its new dedicated organisational structure for the range.

Mr Agnew will report to director of Intraplex sales Steve Paulson and will focus primariliy upon global customer initiatives and business development in the broadcast sector. The role will see him utilise his prior GatesAir experience to work alongside the company’s partners and end users assisting the sale and use of Intraplex products. He will also work on key promotional and educational initiatives, including collaboration with channel partners facilitating a global trade show presence as well as technical presentations.

During his 11 years away from GatesAir, Mr Agnew worked for iHeartMedia, most recently serving as director of engineering and IT for the northern Colorado region. His previous roles at GatesAir included field service engineer, senior sales application engineer and product manager.

‘Dave intimately understands the specific concerns of broadcasters and our overall customer base when it comes to working with IP and TDM networking solutions, and how to effectively implement and use our products,’ said Mr Paulson. ‘His broad knowledge base and extensive industry experience lends a high level of credibility while communicating with channel partners and end users worldwide, and will greatly enhance our ability to capitalise on both existing and emerging business opportunities.’
