DCN chooses VSM for OB

UAE: Dubai Channels Network (DCN) has selected Lawo’s VSM broadcast control and monitoring solution for its two new OB vans. The government-owned media organisation’s OB department is well versed in the German manufacturer’s equipment, using V__pro8 video processing toolkits for embedding and de-embedding, frame-syncing and colour correction among other tasks.

The VSM systems for the new OB vehicles will be installed on redundantly designed servers, providing based broadcast control and monitoring, as well as facilitating the management of on-board and external equipment. DCN’s investment in VSM marks the latest in a string of Lawo purchases across the region.

‘Lawo systems and services have gained wide-spread acceptance in the Middle East, which shows in the constantly increasing number of Lawo installations in the region,’ said Klaus-Joerg Jasper, Lawo sales director for the Middle East. ‘Many broadcasters and service providers have been customers for years now, repeatedly ordering Lawo equipment – including audio, video, networking and control systems – and there is a growing number of new customers. All our products are developed and manufactured according to the highest quality standard, and this is what our customers appreciate.’
