DHD becomes a Ravenna partner
WORLD: DHD is the latest company to join ALC NetworX’ Ravenna community, adopting the AES67 protocol for its new products. This includes the DHD XC2 AES67 Ravenna Interface, which allows the entire DHD product portfolio to be integrated with AES67.
DHD manufactures audio mixing consoles and routing systems and has become a Ravenna partner to ensure interoperability with other AES67 devices. ‘Becoming part of the Ravenna community is essential for us as a manufacturer of highly modular mixing consoles,’ explained Joerg Deubner, general manager of DHD audio. ‘Using Ravenna, we are now able to provide an AoIP solution based on open standards.’
ALC NetworX senior product manager Andreas Hildebrand welcomed DHD to the Ravenna family. ‘In choosing Ravenna as the basis for their AES67 implementation, DHD underlines the performance and flexibility of Ravenna technology,’ he said. ‘DHD being able to implement Ravenna on their own platform, without the need to license any third-party building blocks, is once again proof that Ravenna’s open technology approach offers many significant advantages.’
