DPA clamp mount expands d:vote options
Three mounting options have joined the d:vote range from DPA Microphones, expanding the usage of the instrument mics so one model can be utilised across a number of sources. Leading the trio is a clamp mount, described by the manufacturer as compatible with ‘every instrument possible’. A microphone stand mount and dedicated accordion clip complete the new offerings.
Also referred to as the 4099 series, the d:vote range has long been a popular entry in the DPA catalogue. While the mic itself is designed for use with woodwind and acoustic instruments, four touring kits are available with quantities of four or 10 mics packed in a pencil case as well as 10 or 25 mounts, respectively.
The new options comprise the AC4099 accordion clip, which is mounted directly on the instrument (either temporarily or permanently) and can reportedly withstand vigorous playing styles. The stand mount is named the SM4099 and is compatible with all regular mic stands. Finally, the CM4099 clamp mount is intended as an all-round solution.
An adapter system is also available for those wishing to use a d:vote microphone with any professional wireless system.
