Ecler unveils Essentials
Ecler has unveiled the Ecler Essentials brand, a collection of products targeted at systems integrators which will offer the manufacturer’s standards of reliability, quality and features but at what it describes as ‘a very attractive price point’.
The first two products released under this umbrella are the eCA120 and eCA120HZ micro-amplifiers. The eCA120 is a 4-ohm 2x60W stereo amplifier, whilst the eCA120HZ is a 120W mono, high-impedance version for 70/100V loudspeaker line level operation.
Each fan-less model comes with an external, universal power supply and includes an auto stand-by function, to minimise power consumption when no signal can be detected. Equipped with and unbalanced stereo line input with a dual RCA connector and three-pin Euroblock connector, the volume can be controlled manually from the unit’s knob or remotely via WPm series wall panels.
Away from Essentials, the manufacturer has also built on the foundations of some of its designs to create a variety of new releases. As a follow up to the DAM514 digital audio mixer, Ecler has developed the DAM614. As the name suggests, the new model incorporates six audio inputs and four audio outputs, together with front panel inputs/outputs, level controls, DSP processing, RS-232 connectivity and four remote control ports (0-10VDC). The four outputs can be used as mono independent zones or coupled as stereo zones, whilst the first two inputs are stereo line inputs, whilst inputs three to six are mic/line ready, allowing them to be used independently (mono) or as stereo-coupled inputs.
The password-protected front panel LCD display can show 2x20 characters alongside the 10 LED indicators (one for each input and output) and digital control digital knobs. A pager port provides voice paging using an MPAGE4 console unit, whilst a mute port can operate one or several zones via external contact closure.
Processing includes independent level control for each input and output, independent mixer for each output zone and independent three-band tone control for each input. Crossover filters, 10-band graphic EQ, adjustable high-pass filters, noise gate functions and feedback suppressors are also included.
The Barcelona-based manufacturer has also created a passive version of its Audeo SB110P powered subwoofer. Sharing the same physical and acoustic characteristics as the powered version, the Audeo SB110 incorporates a 10-inch woofer and has a maximum power handling of 150W RMS. Specifically designed to partner Audeo loudspeakers for low frequency extension, features include Euroblock and clip double inputs/stack terminals together with an internal low pass filter with two frequency settings.
Finally, the MIMO88SG (single) is an EclerNet audio device that lies at the heart of the MIMO88 8x8 digital matrix. Featuring eight mic/line balanced inputs and eight balanced outputs, with mono or stereo management, the matrix is equipped with Ethernet and RS-232 communication interfaces in addition to eight GPI ports and control inputs assignable to MIMO functions, such as volume control, mute and preset recall. Fully programmable and controllable via EclerNet software, the digital control bus can connect up to 16 digital touch-sensitive wall panels and three paging stations. A full processing suite includes delays, full parametric EQ filters, noise gates, levels, muting, phase, scheduled events, outputs compressor/limiter, paging and ducking, and presets save and recovery.
