Eve Audio tours India
INDIA: Eve Audio, in collaboration with its Indian distributor, Modi Digital, has recently run a pair of seminars in the country in a bid to introduce various regions to its brand and products. The manufacturer’s CEO Roland Stenz and sales and marketing manager Kerstin Mischke made the trip, as well as Modi Digital owner and CEO Aditya Modi, stopping in Mumbai and Chennai to visit with dealers and customers, in addition to appearing at the seminars in each city.
The seminar in Mumbai was held at The Orchid Hotel and saw an attendance of 48, which included Sounds Good Studio’s chief recording engineer, Kunal Dabolkar, Saibu Simon from In the Mix Studio and Grammy Award winner PA Deepak, who mixed the soundtrack to Slumdog Millionaire. Meanwhile, 24 participants, including Sudhin from Pro Musicals and Cognitive Audio Labs’ Shamanth Nagendra, attended the Chennai workshop, which took place within the annexe of the Sir Mutha Venkattasubba Rao Concert Hall.
While in Mumbai, both manufacturer and distributor paid a visit to Northpole Magicworks Studio, which produces music for movies and television commercials. Modi Digital designed and installed the studio’s sound equipment, as well as the A/V cabling. The setup covers both the control and recording rooms and comprises Eve Audio’s SC305 three-way studio monitors with a variety of microphones, such as Violet Design’s The Atomic, Rode’s NT2A and Neumann’s TLM 102. Also installed is a Dramwer DL241 compressor unit and MC2.1 monitor controller, an RME Fireface 802 audio interface, a Channel One SPL tube pre-amp and Avid Pro Tools software.
Over in Chennai, Eve and Modi Digital kept appointments with John Thankachan from Power Electronics & Technologies, who showcased his own loudspeakers, Mukesh Hemdev from Hi-Fi dealer Music Ranch, and Shamanth Nagendra at Studio Cognitive Audio Labs. Mr Nagendra currently uses an SC307 and is reportedly considering an upgrade to the SC407.
