Firmware update adds more control to Ui mixers

Published:

Soundcraft’s Ui Series portable mixers have gained stereo recording functionality (previously only available on the Ui16) and support for Microsoft’s Edge browser with the latest firmware update. The manufacturer also promises a more secure password-protected Access Limitation System when assigning privileges to other users.

In addition, a new Sync ID feature has been added to the HTML5 control GUI to maintain channel sync across multiple browser windows, on different displays and different devices. On large screens or multiple screens, users can open multiple GUI edit windows (EQ, DYN and FX) and have them maintain channel sync. The user can reportedly select a channel on any of these pages and view and control all EQ, DYN and FX values across devices and displays.

Further enhancements include MoreMe Portrait on/off mode, enable/disable SSID broadcast, a new global pre-fade aux send point selection and AFS2 preset manager. In addition, the Channel Mute function now mutes auxes in PFL mode. MAC address visibility in Network Settings, a local user settings preset manager, reset local user settings as a default feature are also included in the update. The firmware can be downloaded for free for the Soundcraft website.
