Further details announced ahead of this week’s PLSG
CHINA: Pro Light & Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) takes place this week, opening its doors from Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th February. The 15th iteration of the trade show will feature approximately 1,250 pro audio and lighting companies from 26 countries and regions with new and expanded product zones and a revamped fringe programme designed to expose attendees to new sourcing.
The new and expanded product zones have reportedly been established in response to ‘the burgeoning demands for the karaoke and theatre markets in China’. These will include the Theatre K Pub, which will highlight customised installation, smart digital A/V and systems integration products as well as mini and home theatre systems. A wide range of audio and lighting products will also be on display across the various thematic halls and zones.
Meanwhile, the fringe events aim to integrate the best practices and technologies in audio engineering, sound production, KTV, stage design, installation and systems integration as well as health and safety. Representatives from several reputable brands, key industry associations and trade media will share industry insights and expertise as part of the educational programme.
In addition, the PLSG Annual Training Course returns, exploring market trends with speakers from across Asia, Europe and America. The course will be based on three key themes: the application of sound systems and acoustic technology; the enhancement of event and stage performance; and real-time networking and media networking technology. A multitude of forums and seminars will complement the four-day event.
‘I am pleased to see our efforts rewarded by the unwavering support of the industry,’ said Judy Cheung, deputy general manager of the show organiser, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd. ‘Over the past 15 years, through introducing conceptual and structural changes to the fair, Pro Light & Sound Guangzhou has successfully evolved from a regional event to a global business platform that bridges local and international markets.’
PLSG will be held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex.
