Increased colour options with Platinum Seven

Published:

A seven colour wash luminaire has become the latest moving head fixture to be unveiled by Elation Professional. Integrating 19 25W LEDs in red, green, blue, white amber, mint and UV to create an extended colour palette, the Platinum Seven fixture also benefits from a 5-degree to 50-degree beam angle zoom range, triple pixel ring control and colour-pixel ring macros. According to the manufacturer, the unit also boasts ‘advanced low-noise cooling and movement control systems.’

Also introduced at this year’s Pro Light & Sound was the TVL CYC RGBW, which is described as a theatre-style cyclorama wall wash luminaire. The fixture is reportedly capable of delivering a ‘smooth and even’ field of seamlessly blended colour onto backcloths, scenery or any other surface. Ideally-suited as a colour-changing floodlight, the light integrates a 150W COB RGBW LED engine.

Away from lighting fixtures, Elation has introduced a six-way RDM/DMX data splitter to help with maintaining proper data levels in long cable runs. The RDMX6S reportedly helps to correct disruptions in the signal by splitting data link into six separate branches while boosting the weak signal to its original output. RDM E1.20 compliant, the splitter features opto-isolated DMX output ports with DMX loop through port. It houses a five-pin XLR input, a five-pin XLR thru output, six five-pin XLR outputs and a powerCON input.
