INDIA: Surat-based water amusement park Amaazia recently opened to the public with an audio solution designed and installed by Hi-Tech Audio Systems Pvt Ltd. With 16 acres of land to cover, the solutions provider divided the park into 11 audio zones and opted for Bose systems to meet the required IP55 standards.
Each of the zones is set up to play a different soundtrack at varying levels of volume. One of the key challenges to overcome was to ensure that there was minimal spill over between zones, as there are no acoustic partitions. Meanwhile, two control rooms were needed to connect the solutions across the venue via fibre. This, Hi-Tech Audio Systems stated, minimises copper cable loss and removes the need for a central routing matrix, avoiding a single point of failure.
In the Wave Pool area, three weatherised Bose LT 9702 WR speakers were installed with two MB24 WR subwoofers. The Lazy River, meanwhile, is equipped with Freespace 360P outdoor loudspeakers that have been camouflaged to blend in with the surroundings.
The Rain Dance is an indoor attraction, designed to replicate a nightclub with sprinklers spraying from the ceiling, walls and floor. Due to the wetness, a weatherised solution was once again needed and Hi-Tech installed four Panaray 802 Series loudspeakers, which are complemented by MB12 WR subs.
The solution is controlled via the park’s LAN network and is set up to allow users to monitor the system remotely. The back-end system comprises a range of Bose and Biamp Vocia solutions.
‘We wanted to create a facility of international level and chose to go with Bose for the audio system and a systems integrator which has the expertise and experience to install such a system, so we chose Hi-Tech Audio Systems,’ explained Rajesh Taylor, project director at Amaazia. ‘We are very happy with this new system and plan to extend it to new upcoming facilities.’
‘We are extremely glad to be a part of such a prestigious project,’ said Manik Gupta, director of sales (projects) at Hi-Tech Audio Systems. ‘It is another milestone in our journey towards becoming India’s largest systems integration company.’
Bose national sales manager, Vibhor Khanna also expressed his enthusiasm at the installation. ‘We thank our partners Hi-Tech Audio Systems for a world class integration,’ he concluded.
