ISE introduces the Immersive Technology Zone

Published: WORLD

WORLD: Ahead of ISE 2017, event organiser Integrated Systems Events has announced the debut of the Immersive Technology Zone at the upcoming edition of the trade show. Sensory experience design company Holovis will produce and manage the new dedicated area, which will be located in the Park Foyer at the rear of Hall 8 inside the RAI exhibition centre. ISE 2017 takes place from 7-10 February 2017 in Amsterdam.

The ISE Immersive Technology Zone will include four virtual environments, allowing visitors to explore augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MxR) and the differences between them, as well as how each can be utilised to overcome certain A/V challenges. Holovis will make its staff available in the zone, to provide knowledge and information, and supply the content, including its Near Miss Simulator virtual training environment and an AR zombie game.

‘We are excited to be partnering with ISE to showcase a complete suite of virtual options, from singular immersive experiences to those that can be shared by a group to inspire end users and show the A/V industry how they can support the development of complex setups,’ said Stuart Hetherington, CEO at Holovis. ‘We design complete solutions that transport guests into alternative realities, whether that’s fictional worlds for entertainment or real situations for R&D or training.’

‘We are delighted to be linking with a market leading company such as Holovis on the Immersive Technology Zone,’ added Integrated Systems Events MD, Mike Blackman. ‘It will showcase how quickly this innovative application of technology is opening up exciting new options and solutions for the A/V industry.’
