He started his career in the studio as a guitarist, composer and producer, before moving across into sales and marketing for pro audio and MI technologies. In his new role, Mr Stopka will take responsibility for developing new business opportunities in both the studio and live music production arenas, and the film/video recorded sound market.

‘Joe's history in selling and marketing pro audio and MI brands, as well as his musical performance and production experience, is a welcome addition to our sales and marketing teams,’ declared executive vice president for TASCAM and TEAC Consumer Audio, Jim Mack. ‘We are excited to have Joe on board to help spread the word and dig deep into the many opportunities and applications for this iconic brand of recording gear.’

‘I'm truly honoured and thrilled to be working with such a talented group of people, and am looking forward to being a part of the next generation of TASCAM,’ enthused Mr Stopka. ‘TASCAM is one of professional audio's legendary brands, with a legacy dating to the very foundations of personal recording.’
