JVC brings IFB functionality to camcorder streaming

Published:

The Version 1.02 firmware upgrade for JVC’s GY-HM660 ProHD mobile camera brings IFB functionality. This, the manufacturer states, makes the GY-HM660 the first streaming camcorder with integrated IFB audio channels.

Users of the GY-HM660 will be supplied two channels of IFB with the upgrade, one feed for camera operator and the other for the talent. This will also reportedly enable communication between those controlling a broadcast at a house of worship and those streaming the content on-location.
