Linear Acoustic and Minnetonka Audio form the TV Solutions Group
WORLD: The Telos Alliance has formed a new division that will focus on needs of the television and broadcast sectors and comprise its Linear Acoustic and Minnetonka Audio brands. Named the TV Solutions Group, it will merge the products, staff and brands of both companies into a single body and looks to provide new highly scalable and easy to integrate products as well as increased access to support services.
‘We have a unique opportunity to do something special; bridge two companies that serve a similar customer base into one overall solutions provider,’ explained the newly-appointed president of the TV Solutions Group, John Schur. ‘Having access to the full range of Telos Alliance products is a big win for our new group and an even bigger win for our customers.’
One such solution that the group states it will provide to broadcasters is assistance in the transition to new technologies, such as the AES67 AoIP standard, which is a key focal point for the TV Solutions Group. ‘Telos has had tremendous success in the radio broadcast market by creating the industry’s first AoIP standard,’ noted Frank Foti, CEO of The Telos Alliance. ‘With last year’s acquisition of Minnetonka Audio and subsequent merger with Linear Acoustic, we have the building blocks to expand our success into TV broadcast and further advance the integration of AES67.’
