Mackie reinforces the Indian president
INDIA: The Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan is an annual conference, gathering Bengali literary figures. The recent 89th edition was inaugurated by India’s president, Shri Pranab Mukherjee and took place inside the ITI Vidyamandir School auditorium in Bangalore over three days. Musician’s Movement, a sound rental company, was called upon to deliver the live audio system for the event, deploying a Mackie active loudspeaker solution. It had acquired its Mackie systems from the manufacturer’s Indian distributor, Sonotone.
Mackie HDA loudspeakers were implemented at FOH along with a complement of HD1806 subs. Stacks of HD1221 loudspeakers and HD1801 subs provided reinforcement and served as delays. The system was controlled via a pair of Mackie mixing consoles: the 32-channel DL32R and 16-channel DL1608.
‘It’s been such an honour for us to have been selected to provide the audio solution for such an esteemed event,’ said Neil Andrade of Musician’s Movement. ‘Working with great quality products always delivers great results and that’s exactly what has helped us pull off such an amazing audio experience at the 89th annual conference of Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan. I’ve always relied on Mackie products – for my personal use as a musician, as well as for the rental business and I’m glad to say that Mackie has always come through for me.’
