JAPAN: Media Plus has been named as the exclusive Japanese commercial sound distribution partner for Williams Sound. The deal sees the US manufacturer join a portfolio of high-end A/V and conferencing brands including Crestron, Extron, Wolfvision, Revolabs and ClearOne amongst others.
Founded in 2002, Media Plus is based in the Chiyoda prefecture of central Tokyo. The company has fast become one of the regional market’s leading A/V design and integration firms, including prestigious government contracts plus projects within the financial, education, and manufacturing sectors both within Japan itself and across Asia.
Following the announcement, Shuji Ozaki, president of Media Plus, described his company as ‘quite pleased to be working with Williams Sound, a proven and trusted manufacturer in the global, wireless communications marketplace. Their products complement our other product lines well and will help us provide complete solutions for our customers in Japan. We clearly expect to see great opportunities evolve – especially with Hearing HotSpot, Williams Sound’s innovative live audio over Wi-Fi product’.
Doreen Ingebrigtsen, vice president of international sales for Williams Sound, was equally enthusiastic. ‘We are pleased with this new distribution partnership,’ she commented. ‘Media Plus has a wealth of experience providing communication solutions to the Japanese market, and is in tune with the needs of a number of industries. Their knowledge and excellent reputation can only be an advantage to us all. We welcome Media Plus as one of our respected international distribution partners.’
