Meyer Sound founders plan inaugural trip to China
CHINA: Following many recent high-profile installations of its technologies across the country, such as at the Dai Show in Xishuangbanna, the Han Show in Wuhan, and the 5D Castle Theater at the Chimelong International Ocean Resort, Meyer Sound’s co-founders John and Helen Meyer will be visiting China for the first time. Both will be in attendance at the PALM China 2016 Expo in Beijing, where company CEO Mr Meyer will delver an address at the annual conference of the China Entertainment Technology Association on 31st August.
It is hoped that the visit will emphasise the manufacturer’s commitment to the APAC region. While at PALM China, Mr and Mrs Meyer will be on hand to speak with customers, consultants, experts as well as the press. Meyer Sound will be exhibiting its products, including the MJF-208 compact stage monitor and Galileo Galaxy network platform, in collaboration with its recently appointed exclusive distributor for China and Macau, Shanghai Broad Future Electro Technology Co Ltd.
‘It’s been five years since we established a direct presence in the Chinese market through the creation of Meyer Sound China, and then, we have worked closely with Shanghai Broad Future Electro Technology Co Ltd to support the professional audio community,’ said Meyer Sound’s Asia-Pacific business development manager, Tim Boot. ‘This new, higher level of collaboration represents the next step forward. We are proud to engage in this new relationship.’
In addition to the new distribution partnership, the manufacturer is continuing to increase its presence in the country, due to a growing demand for its products. ‘China has been the driving force of our continuing growth in the region,’ explained Mrs Meyer. ‘For that reason, we are greatly expanding our presence here in design support, technical support, service and sales, beginning with the addition of new full time staff exclusively to serve this region.’
‘China has become the world leader in creating imaginative, large-scale entertainment spectaculars,’ concluded Mr Meyer. ‘These are among the largest and most sophisticated audio systems anywhere, and we’re proud that Meyer Sound technologies are at the core of so many of them.’
