Microflex Advance makes South African debut
SOUTH AFRICA: Shure’s Microflex Advance was recently introduced to the South African market at a Shure Masterclass event hosted in Johannesburg by the manufacturer’s local distributor, Wild & Marr. Alongside the product launch, the event also included MXA Sales Certification and MXA Technical Certification training.
‘It was a busy, but interesting week as we interacted with customers and integrators from various vertical markets,’ noted Wild & Marr’s Andrew Sorrill. ‘Apart from the interest generated by the Microflex Advance, the most popular Masterclass of the week was the Wireless Mastered event that encompassed Wireless Workbench and the Axient Wireless Management System.’
The Wired Mastered event featured live demonstrations of various models of Shure microphones by a musician, demonstrating different frequency responses and polar patterns. Shure’s new KSM8 Dualdyne microphone was also compared with other microphones. Its off-axis tonal consistency over traditional cardioid pick up patterns reportedly impressed sound engineers and musicians attending the event.
