WORLD: Broadcast audio veteran Alessandro Travaglini has joined the R&D group of Minnetonka Audio, taking the title of product manager. Bringing two decades of experience to his new role, Mr Travaglini will reportedly ‘further the efforts for both the Minnetonka and Linear Acoustic lines of software processing solutions’.

Prior to joining Minnetonka, Mr Travaglini’s most recent role was with Fox International Channels, where he held a number of positions over an 11 year period, including sound supervisor, senior sound designer and music composer. He also spent eight years as a broadcast audio consultant at Sky Italia, while he has also worked in postproduction and as a live sound engineer.

According to the manufacturer, Mr Travaglini’s responsibilities will encompass ‘spearheading the development of technologies that represent the future of loudness control’. On a day-to-day basis he will manage the Linear Acoustic APTO processing solution, assist with the company’s broadcast TV and radio sales strategy and represent Telos Alliance brands within organisations such as the EBU and AES.

‘We are thrilled to welcome Alessandro to our team,’ enthused Markus Hintz, vice president of global sales and business development for Minnetonka Audio. ‘With Alessandro’s breath of knowledge and experience in the industry, he will be instrumental in managing the company’s research and development of audio processing algorithms, as well as assisting product management and sales strategy. Bringing Alessandro on board further exhibits our commitment to producing the highest quality audio processing software in the industry.’

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Travaglini described himself as ‘excited to join Minnetonka Audio – I welcome the opportunity to work with the entire team. Minnetonka Audio offers leading-edge software solutions and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the company.’
