HK Audio to forgo PL&S in favour of own events
WORLD: HK Audio parent company, Music & Sales, has announced plans to work with its regional and distribution partners to host events specifically showcasing its brands in 2017. Citing We’re Filling The Stadium: Powered By HK Audio, an event it recently staged in Frankfurt that drew over 7,500 musicians, as a successful example of its plans, the company has opted not to exhibit in the German city at next year’s Musikmesse and Pro Light & Sound show.
Music & Sales has made efforts to increase the online presence in recent years of both its HK Audio and Hughes & Kettner brands, particularly across social media and streaming sites. This, the company states, allows its business partners and customers to find all of the relevant information they need when looking for a new system, while its own events will serve to provide a platform for customers to get hands-on with the equipment. Meanwhile, the organisation claims that ‘tighter volume regulations and restrictions at tradeshows’ have made it more difficult to see success at events the scale of Pro Light & Sound.
