New XLR connector from Klotz

New XLR connector from Klotz

Published:

Consumer and pro A/V cable manufacturer Klotz Ais has put its 35 years of experience in the business to work developing an all-new XLR connector. Moving forward, its Greyhound, M1, M2, M5 and Titanium series, AES3K AES/EBU and DMX5K DMX cables will all be made up with the new connector.

The connector sports several features, such as a ribbed connector housing to provide increased grip during use. The ribbed finish around the connector circumference is broken by two flat surfaces, providing a space for laser-cut numbering or an engraved logo. The distance ring between the sleeve and connector is ribbed for flexibility and ‘give’, reportedly enabling cables of any diameter to be made up with the ‘right torque for a perfect fit’.
