Neutrik launches the four channel opticalCON Quad

The new Neutrik opticalCON Quad is based on the proven opticalCON Duo connection system but with four channels it is optimised for point-to-point interconnections and multichannel routing applications.

The system offers a choice of three cables: The opticalCON Quad four-channel mobile field cable is available in multi- and singlemode (PC or APC); The X-Treme cable offers a cut-proof and rodent resistant, double jacket, glass yarn armoured cable construction; The 12-channel cable solution Triple Split is based on the opticalCON Quad and offers maximal flexibility combining four and 12-channel cables. The system is completed by breakout boxes, which split a four-channel point-to-point opticalCON Quad connection to either two dual-channels or four single-channels.

Neutrik's opticalCON powerMONITOR is a purpose-built measurement (monitoring) device for professional fibre-optic broadcast, audio and video applications. By monitoring the attenuation of up to four transmission channels simultaneously the powerMONITOR informs about the fibre optic quality status. Programmable alarm signals control the power budget of the fibre optic transmission lines at all times. The powerMONITOR is available in 19-inch panels or mobile breakout boxes.

The Neutrik USB 2.0 (A-B reversible) and Firewire feedtrough chassis offer the same universally accepted D-size housing as Neutrik’s XLR receptacles. By combining the USB cable and chassis connectors the connection becomes lockable and water resistant. The cable connector offers a shielded connection with high noise immunity and EMI protection in addition. Neutrik completed the multimedia series with an HDMI solution for the transmission of digital TV and PC video format including high-definition video (HDTV). The HDMI cable connector offers push-pull locking and is protected against dust and water ingress according to protection class IP65 in mated condition as well.

The rearTWIST BNC product series is Neutrik’s offering for the transmission of uncompressed HD 1080p signals. Best signal quality over several connections within one signal path is guaranteed by lowest return loss and minimal jitter.
