Pioneer DJ remixes its board of directors
WORLD: Pioneer DJ Corporation has undergone a management restructure with Yoshiaki Ide assuming the position of chairman while Akio Moriwaki takes on the role of president and CEO. The manufacturer has dissolved its executive officer system in order to achieve an agile management structure.
Prior to his appointment as chairman, Mr Ide served as president and CEO. In his new role, he will work to develop new business opportunities and to strengthen existing external relationships that the brand possesses.
Mr Moriwaki brings more than 30 years of industry experience and vast music retail knowledge to the president and CEO job. He previously served as president of Tower Records Japan.
Completing the reshuffling of the board, Hirofumi Hirano and Eiji Yatagawa have been reappointed as directors. Both work part-time in their roles.
