ProMatrix 6000 is EN54 certified
Promising ‘ease of use in a complete EN54-certified solution’, Dynacord’s ProMatrix 6000 is intended for small- to mid-sized sports facilities, hotels and educational venues. The combined public address and voice evacuation system offers a modular architecture comprising a controller with DSP, a 24-zone router, a two channel amplifier, a call station and a call station extension.
According to the manufacturer, the system includes features more usually found in higher priced alternatives, including a four-channel matrix architecture. Up to four audio signals (such as announcements or playback music) can be simultaneously distributed to different loudspeaker zones. The manufacturer states that individual announcements in any zone will not interrupt music in the other zones. Integration of additional audio systems can also be achieved via two of the amplifier’s inputs.
Onboard are ‘Basic’ and ‘Expert’ configuration modes for use depending on the operator’s level of experience. The basic mode is a wizard that provides a step-by-step configuration guide, reportedly making it possible to program a basic system within 30 minutes. The expert mode is based on Iris-Net and provides ‘almost unlimited flexibility’.
