Ravenna AoIP added to Optimod-FM

Published:

The latest version of Orban’s Optimod product line, the Optimod-FM 8700 builds upon it predecessor by adding Ravenna AoIP connectivity. As well as being AES67 compliant, the FM processor also features a 192kHz AES3 digital composite output, and dual digitised SCA inputs.

In addition to the architecture already utilised in the Optimod-FM 8600, the 8700 features a dual-redundant power supply and an intelligent sub-harmonic synthesiser. Meanwhile, an RDS/RBDS generator comes as standard, and the manufacturer’s Multipath Mitigator reportedly allows stereo sub-channel energy to be minimised, while not compromising on stereo separation.
