Robe’s BMFL family goes brighter

Published:

Robe’s high-power BMFL family has upped the ante with the release of the BMFL WashBeam – the brightest fixture in the range to date. Stated to offer 300,000 lux at 5m, the fixture houses a customised 1,700W short-arc metal halide light source with 6,000K colour temperature and can be deployed as a wash, spot, profile or beam.

Four fast shutter blades offer individually-angled positions within a frame (rotatable through 90-degrees), providing sharp or soft framing of a projected image. Fast movement of the framing system also allows for the creation of in-air beam effects. Three grades of frost filter offer additional smoothing of the beam edge, while a pair of gobos (rotating and static) are also present.
