RTM returns to Stagetec for Auditorium Perdana
MALAYSIA: Having made the decision to replace the old analogue consoles still in use at its 700-seat Auditorium Perdana in Kuala Lumpur, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) has acquired two new Crescendo consoles from Stagetec. A long-standing relationship between the broadcaster and German manufacturer has seen its consoles used in a large number of RTM facilities. For the last five years, a Stagetec Aurus console has served the auditorium as the main broadcast mixer. This has now been joined by 40-fader and 32-fader Crescendos for the house mix and monitor mix respectively.
‘Stagetec consoles and the state of the art Nexus router have again proven to be the preferred system – delivering reliability, sustainability and flexibility for RTM in the past and for many years to come,’ commented Stagetec Asia sales director, Advon Tan. ‘Stagetec provides all its customers with onsite and offsite support, continuing the tradition of providing highly reliable systems and timely support to minimise downtime in any situation.’
The consoles are part of a fully digital audio network with high dynamic range microphones inputs, internal four-way microphone splitters with independent preamp gain controls for each console per microphone, including one spare for an additional console.
‘Now that there is a fully digital audio workflow through an extensive fibre optic infrastructure, we finally have a system that delivers high-quality, low latency and a fully redundant ecosystem. This offers our sound mixer a more inspiring and flexible environment to produce better sound for many years to come,’ commented an audio operator from RTM.
