S Sajeev RIP
WORLD: The Singaporean pro audio business community was united in its grief on 5th October following the passing away of S Sajeev. Cremated on 6th October at Mandai Crematorium, S Sajeev was 51 years of age, leaving behind his wife Anandhi, daughter Shona and son Sanjay.
The extremely well respected industry figure started his working career as a sales and product executive at Electro Acoustic Systems in 1990, where he was responsible for developing the EV, Klark Teknik, Midas and Shure brands. He further advanced his career credentials at Sennheiser, AUVI, O’Connors, E&E, Behringer, Alesis-Numark and Nakamichi before taking on a principle consultant role at Audio-Technica (SEA) Pte Ltd, for which he relocated to Bangalore, India as South Asian country head. ‘During his time with Audio-Technica, he never let his sickness affect his quest to develop the A-T brand in South Asia,’ commented Audio Technica (SEA) managing director Vincent Chan. ‘He was dedicated and always on his toes sniffing out every possible business opportunity. His loss truly is a loss to our industry.’
In 2014, he accepted the role of director and head of APAC Sales for Adam Hall, where he was tasked with extending the brand awareness and adoption of the company’s brands and distribution lines throughout the Asian Pacific. It was a role he relished until he was forced to retire owing to his ailing health. ‘We are all extremely saddened at Adam Hall as we were hoping S Sajeev would make a recovery following treatment,’ commented business development manager Bodo Falkenried, speaking from the company’s HQ near Frankfurt, Germany. ‘He pioneered the business for Adam hall via his own immense network and was a joy to work with. Our immediate thoughts are with his family at this particularly hard time.’
Prior to his career development, Sajeev was an accomplished keyboard player and pianist teaching classical music in his spare time. He also worked as a freelance live sound engineer.
