Second InfoComm date announced for China

Published: ASIA

CHINA: Having already established a highly successful outing in Beijing, InfoCommAsia is launching a second exhibition in Chengdu in September 2018. According to the organiser, the show will provide manufacturer’s with new opportunities to tap into the lucrative Western China and Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) markets.

The show is planned to take place at the Western China International Expo City from 11-13 September 2018, with the Beijing event continuing to be held from 11-13 April 2018 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.

‘For the first time, Chengdu InfoComm China will offer exhibitors a valuable platform to pitch their products and solutions to an expanding market of users in Western China as well as the BRI countries,’ commented Richard Tan, executive director of InfoCommAsia. ‘These markets, which are hungry for innovations in pro A/V and experiential communications technologies, promise to be among the most dynamic and fast-growing worldwide and can drive business growth for years to come.’

The announcement of a second date in the country comes at a time when Western China is thriving. The region is predicted to produce 25% of China's total ICT output by 2025, fuelled by support from the Chinese government, which has earmarked Western China as a ICT hotspot. A number of business-friendly policies have also been launched to encourage future development, including strategies to develop specific industries such as software, IT, electronics and information.
