Shure wins Global Excellence Award

WORLD: The Global Presence Alliance (GPA) has presented Shure with a Global Excellence Award. The annual awards are given to vendors that are deemed by the GPA to exhibit ‘the highest level of commitment to delivering superior experiences to GPA members and global customers’. Shure, which joined the GPA’s Accredited Vendor Programme at the start of the year, accepted the honour in Las Vegas during InfoComm 2016.

Comprising A/V, video conferencing and managed services providers that span five continents, the GPA surveyed the sales and engineering teams, as well as the executives, of its 24 member organisations in deciding the recipients of this year’s Global Excellence Awards. Each nominated company was rated across five categories: product innovation; technical support; sales and marketing programmes; commercial flexibility; and commitment to global deployment and support programmes.

‘As a newer member of the Accredited Vendor Program, we take enormous pride in this recognition, especially given our continued dedication to providing top-notch products and services worldwide,’ enthused Shure’s senior director of global business development, Brian Woodland. ‘The alliance’s focus on providing consistent, high-level services to its esteemed client roster aligns nicely with Shure’s legacy of providing A/V technology to our global customers. We look forward to continuing our work with the GPA and providing a world-class experience for customers.’

‘Our survey results are well deserved recognition of Shure’s efforts both broadly within the market, and in understanding and supporting the GPA’s vision for global excellence in AV/UC services and solution delivery,’ noted Byron Tarry, board president of the GPA. ‘The Shure name is synonymous with history and innovation within the industry, and while they have long maintained an array of commercial/enterprise-centric products, this focus has been increased significantly in recent years with some market leading product introductions.’
