Seamless, ultra-smooth and user-friendly are the phrases that Kramer had in mind when it designed the VP-734 scaler/switcher. The manufacturer states that its new switcher, for both digital and analogue signals, provides seamless 4K-UHD presentation with ultra-smooth switching technology. An app has been made available for download, enabling user-friendly functionality for text overlay as well as power-saving features.
The VP-734 is targeting use as a projection system in conference rooms and boardrooms, as well as auditoriums in houses of worship and hotels. It reportedly provides high quality conversion of multiple video signals to graphical data signals for projection and presentation purposes. Included are four HDMI inputs, a DisplayPort input and a pair of universal analogue inputs, while anything up to a 4K resolution is supported by the device’s output. On the audio side are seven stereo analogue inputs and a selectable audio delay with the option embed and de-embed sound.
The company has also released a two-way loudspeaker designed for integration into walls. The Tavor 6-O solution consists of two 50W RMS powered speakers, one active and one passive. The former amplifies a line-level stereo input signal using a built-in amplifier, which is then output to the passive speaker.
The solution features a built-in dual-channel amplifier, capable of providing 2x50W RMS, or 2x140W continuous programme output. It offers a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz at 3dB, while connections include two unbalanced RCA inputs, one unbalanced 3.5mm mini jack and one balanced connection on terminal block. The 6-O is magnetically shielded with a control panel for volume, treble and bass.
