Sound Creations supports International Yoga Day
KENYA: This year marked the second annual UN International Yoga Day and to support the celebrations staged by the Hindu Council of Kenya, Sound Creations Ltd partnered with DJ Raahi and DJ Sarit Entertainment to supply the audio solution to an event for over 6,500 participants at the University of Nairobi. The four-hour outdoor event was attended by several notable participants and dignitaries, such as Suchitra Durai, the Indian high commissioner to Kenya, Sahle-Work Zewde, director general at the United Nations office in Nairobi, and cabinet secretary for sports, culture and arts, Dr Hassan Wario.
Sound Creations deployed an L-R line array solution from dBTechnologies to cover the open space. Each hang comprised four DVA T12 and one DVA T4 per side, which were flown on trussing towers each side of the stage. In addition, FM12 cabinets served as monitors on stage. At the other end of the signal chain, sound was captured via a Shure SM58 vocal microphones, PG185 lavaliers and PG30 headsets. The event was mixed using a Mackie 20-channel console.
