Sunphonix brings the E-Series to Japan
JAPAN: Sunphonix has become the first company to purchase an Adamson E-Series system in Japan. The Kawasaki-based production company acquired several E15 loudspekars and E219 subwoofers from the manufacturer’s Japanese distributor, Rewire Inc, as it hopes to provide a better service to international clients.
‘We’re already getting a lot of traction with Adamson in our market,’ said Mack Miyamura, CEO of Rewire, which took on Adamson distribution in October 2016. ‘But, getting the flagship E-Series out with Sunphonix on so many high-profile events and knowing the quality of performance their team will deliver, we know we’ll be getting a lot of well-deserved attention and are looking forward to capitalising on that.’
Paul Ras from Rewire and Adamson’s tehncial director, David Dohrmann, provided a two-day Applied Certification training workshop for the Sunphonix team, following which, the newly purchased system was deployed for use for multiple events including Maji Uta-Live 2017. The television show was recorded before a live audience of 10,000 at Nippon Budokan where Sunphonix hung left and right arrays of 10 E15s. Both hangs also included an S10 cabinet, while six of the E219s were ground stacked to handle the lows.
‘We were extremely impressed by the performance of the E-Series,’ said Sunphonix system designer Akihiko Higashi. ‘The training was very user-friendly and the presenters were very cooperative. We appreciate that impressive level of care and attention to detail.’
Mr Dohrmann noted that Rewire holds the respect of many of Japan’s major production companies. ‘Partnering with a company like Sunphonix assures us that the Adamson brand is in the right hands in the Japanese market,’ he said. ‘I’m looking forward to supporting both companies as they grow their businesses with Adamson.’
