TDC invests in d3 Technologies for new studio space

Published: ASIA

AUSTRALIA: Technical Direction Company (TDC) looks to develop a new studio space at its facility in Sydney, providing an additional area for clients to view product designs. The company will also be investing in d3 Technologies’ range of media servers, while also joining the manufacturer's Strategic Partner Programme.

The new studio space will reportedly enable project stakeholders to create and implement ideas using emerging technological solutions. TDC clients will also be able to view projects during their early design phase. ‘Our history has always been about bringing the latest technologies to the market in this region,’ explained Michael Hassett, CEO at TDC. ‘We are heavily invested in ensuring that we offer emerging solutions when it comes to 3D modelling and pre-visualisation for shows as the future of video evolves.’

To provide high levels of support for the d3 machines, TDC’s media server specialist, Steve Cain, has become a d3 certified trainer, while TDC staff are trained and certified at d3’s headquarters in London.

‘I’m excited about our continued investment in d3 media servers, it reflects our commitment to leading the way as video experts in the region,’ commented Mr Cain. ‘I’m a big advocate of d3’s powerful performance features and I can’t wait to work with our clients in the studio environment where we can take the client experience to the next level in previsualisation.’

Meanwhile, TDC has also joined d3 Technologies' worldwide Strategic Partner Programme, which provides knowledge and support of the manufacturer's products, covering areas such as server functionality and training.

‘Having utilised its servers for several years, we realised the commitment of the d3 team behind this powerful solution,’ added Mr Hassett. ‘Our relationship as a strategic partner allows us to work side by side with their developers. This is invaluable for future technological development for both of our organisations.’

‘We’re excited that TDC has joined our growing list of d3 strategic partners worldwide,’ added Desmond Yim, d3 regional sales manager, APAC. ‘Establishing this strategic partnership between d3 and TDC is going to be a turning point for us in the southern hemisphere.’
