TEAC hosts dBTechnologies launch event in Japan
JAPAN: Having recently been appointed as the Japanese distributor for dBTechnologies, TEAC Corporation staged a demo event to introduce the Italian manufacturer’s products to the country’s pro audio market. TEAC designated the distribution responsibilities to its TASCAM brand.
The event took place in Tokyo at the City Hall building, with approximately 100 industry representatives in attendance. TEAC’s import sales manager, Yosuke Matsuno coordinated and hosted the demonstration, which started with a welcoming speech from TEAC CEO Yuji Hanabusa, followed by an introduction to dBTechnologies from its sales manager for Asia, Manuele Poli. The dBtechnologies application manager, Marco Cantalù, and TEAC's dBTechnologies brand manager, Tetsu Uchida, discussed products including VIO and DVA line array cabinets, the Sub series, Ingenia column series, the ES PA series and Opera active speakers.
‘All participants were very impressed, not only by the high sound quality of dBTechnologies professional audio systems, but also by the company’s history and background,’ said Mr Matsuno. ‘We received wonderful support from the dBTechnologies team, especially Mr Poli and Mr Cantalù. Our partnership has just begun, but we already feel like a team. That’s why TEAC is very confident about dBTechnologies’ success in the Japanese market.’
‘Japan is one of the most important marketplaces for professional audio,’ said Mr Poli. ‘TEAC is already proving to be the best possible partner for our brand in Japan, as they created a team of highly-talented people who immediately caught the potential of our products and presented them the best way to Japanese audio professionals. Special thanks goes to Yugi Hanabusa and general manager Kenji Matsu for their presentation speeches, and of course I’d like to thank Yosuke Matsuno and Tetsu Uchida who did excellent work for the launch event.’
