TSL Products integrates Ravenna connectivity

WORLD: The Ravenna partnership roster continues to swell with the inclusion of TSL Products. The UK-based manufacturer designs and produces hardware and software solutions for the broadcast industry, as well as IPTV, and has recently unveiled its first Ravenna enabled products as it looks to keep up with the industry migration towards AoIP.

TSL’s MPA (Monitor Plus Audio) range now includes versions with Ravenna connectivity. The Solo model provides the ability to listen to any channel, while the Mix reportedly allows the creation of simple monitoring mixing. ‘The move to integrating Ravenna was a logical step in order to remain in sync with the industry’s rapid move to AoIP workflows,’ explained TSL Products product manager, Matt Colman.

‘The move to AoIP is fast becoming a universal trend within the broadcast sector in particular and the audio world in general,’ added Andreas Hildebrand, Ravenna evangelist at ALC Networx. ‘Manufacturers have to offer a choice of AoIP networking options in order to remain relevant. Ravenna is necessarily a key element in the range of possibilities offered to customers, particularly as it remains both the highest-performing networking technology currently available, and the easiest gateway to AES67 interoperability.’
