TW Audio and Filmstar host Vietnamese demonstration
VIETNAM: TW Audio recently hosted a demo day in collaboration with its Vietnamese distributor, Filmstar Co Ltd - d2d. The demo area was set up on the square outside the cultural centre in Ho Chi Minh City with a large stage to showcase a range of the manufacturer’s products to 150 attendees.
Those in attendance comprised representatives from rental companies, broadcasters and production companies as well as audio dealers, sound engineers and nightclub managers. Participants were greeted with drink on arrival and the event started with an opening speech delivered by Filmstar managing director Trinh Ba Huy.
Mr Ba Huy and Augustine Edwards from TW Audio demonstrated several loudspeaker systems including the C5 combined with the B10 and M6, the M-SYS-TWO system comprising the M8 and B15, and the PA-SYS-CLUB solution, which combines the M10 and B18. Other solutions featured were the M15 coupled with the B30, as well as the C12 and C15. Powersoft K3DSP amplifiers were used to power all of the solutions.
Hired to perform at the event were a jazz trio and Vietnamese rock band Little Wings to exhibit how the systems could be used to provide sound reinforcement for different styles of music. A pair of T24N units were flown either side of the stage and demonstrated, following which, the larger Vera36 were showcased. In front of the stage were four BSX and 12 S33 units providing the low frequencies. Six C15s served as stage monitors.
‘We wanted to show the diversity of TW Audio’s speaker systems and it became clear to everyone that they are absolutely capable of covering all kinds of music and speech with clarity and superb intelligibility,’ said Mr Ba Huy. ‘It was a very good event and we were able to introduce TW Audio to a lot of audio specialists in Vietnam. The customers understood that the systems are suitable for numerous applications, from smaller clubs to big scale live shows and installations.’
