UBMS plans filmmaking workshop in Dubai

UAE: United Broadcast and Media Solutions (UBMS) is planning to work in collaboration with Shadows & Light to host the inaugural Shadows & Light two day intensive Filmmaking Workshop in Dubai. Before finalising the dates, a pre-event survey has been launched to gauge prospective interest. The organisations are targeting November for the event and it is expected to run at a cost of AED2,500 per person.

Although all speakers appearing and topics covered are subject to change, those who attend can expect to hear from former Sky News cameraman, Philip Bloom, camera technology and filmmaking blogger, Nino Leitner, Los Angeles-based director of photography, Phil Arntz and British director James Tonkin. Subjects currently planned include: High Energy Filmmaking. Action, high frame rates and aerials, Making the leap from filmmaker to business person, Finding Clients, High End Productions with Limited Gear, Principles and Practice of Lighting, Interviewing Techniques and Beyond the Framerate – How to get the most out of high speed filming.

To book a place, attendees will be required to pay a deposit of AED1,250.
