Wild & Marr vet takes over national sales and marketing

Published: MEA

SOUTH AFRICA: Wild & Marr board member Gary Furman has been appointed as the group’s national sales and marketing director. In addition to serving on the board for eight years, Mr Furman was responsible for establishing a Wild & Marr sales office in the KwaZulu Natal region, which he has managed for the last 12 years. He has relocated to Johannesburg to take up his new position.

‘Gary has been a part of the Wild & Marr family for over 17 years in total,’ said Joe Copans, managing director. ‘He knows our products and people, has experience in our industry and most importantly he understands the Wild & Marr culture of developing and building relationships with our clients.’

Mr Furman, who started his pro audio career in the UK in 1997, discussed his new responsibilities: ‘In light of the growing competitiveness in the market and the challenging economic climate within which we compete, it is more important now than ever to ensure that our people add value to our customer’s companies. We need to understand our customers’ needs and deliver solutions and services that exceed their expectations. In order to achieve this in a sustainable manner we must ensure that our policies and procedures promote efficiency and effectiveness throughout our various business units, whilst still maintaining the ability to adapt to the ever-increasing rates of change we find both in the markets we compete in and in the proliferation of new technologies.’
