Makro calls on Mahajak
THAILAND: Wholesaler Siam Makro Public Company, which trades as Makro, contracted Mahajak to install the A/V solutions at its new head office. Makro’s new headquarters include an exhibition hall, 33 conference rooms, a boardroom, a convention hall, a breakout area, canteen and an employee gym, which have been equipped with solutions from the Harman and Shure product portfolios.
The exhibition hall is on the first floor and can be divided into three separate spaces or used as one giant room. Mahajak deployed pole-mounted JBL CBT200LA column speakers and AC118S subwoofers at the entrance. Shure QLXD24A/SM58, QLXD14A and WL185TQG wireless microphone systems have also been installed along with a JBL CSPM-1 microphone for PA announcements.
The first floor is also home to the main control room, which manages each zone throughout the rest of the building. A Soundcraft Si Performer 3 digital mixer and BSS Blu-100 networked audio system have been set up and communicate with the systems across the various zones via Dante. Users can also control the audio remotely using an iPad.
Visually, a large Esdlumen LED display greets employees and guests at the main entrance, showing company news and information. FHD cameras in each zone can also live stream activities to the entrance display, as well as 75-inch screens installed throughout the facility. AMX wired and wireless control systems provide control. The conference rooms vary in size and have been equipped with a range of smart TVs, LCD projectors and motor screens. Each room also has a Kramer RC-6i keypad that offers control for these solutions.
Meanwhile, the boardroom can accommodate up to 21 people for meetings with Shure MX412D/C gooseneck microphones and a Barco ClickShare CSC-1 presentation system. Control is once again courtesy of AMX. A similar setup is present in the breakout area.
‘The customer required good, easy-to-use systems together with support and after sales service,’ said Thunyapat Jingosonwit, project sales manager at Mahajak. ‘Makro challenged us as they focused on the exhibition hall and convention hall which will be used for organising exhibitions, trade fairs and award ceremonies. We carefully selected audio, visual and lighting equipment for the specific application purposes.’
