INDIA: Consulting firm 3db Audio Visual recently hosted an Adamson seminar at the MG Hyatt in Bangalore. Drawing systems integrators, consultants and rental companies from throughout the region, the session was led by Adamson technical director for the Asia Pacific David Dohrmann and explored the core technologies present in Adamson solutions.
‘It was an opportunity to hang out with the top audio/acoustic professionals in the industry,’ explained Robert Maria, principal consultant at 3db Audio Visual. ‘The scientific presentation was crisp, informational and enlightening, especially with the integration of wave guides and the amount of R&D that Adamson has put into experimenting with different manufacturing materials.’
In addition to outlining the manufacturer’s product line, Mr Dohrmann reviewed its Controlled Summation Technology present in the new S-Series line arrays as well as combined waveguides for mid and high frequency, and long throw performance. Other topics of discussion included HF sensitivity and a comparison of THD/3-inch and next generation 4-inch diaphragms, midrange sensitivity, power compression in midrange transducers and dual spider technology.
‘The interactive session was great, with David engaging with the audience on all levels,’ added Mr Maria. ‘We already have a few leads to be worked out with Adamson and are definitely looking forward to using them in most high-end projects. I am personally looking forward for another session like this in the near future.’
Attending the seminar was Jai Shankar Iyer, audio consultant with Turnkey Acoustics. ‘The introduction to the technologies behind the impressive line of systems from Adamson was crisp and engaging,’ he noted. ‘I look forward to working with Adamson in my forthcoming installations.’
‘The seminar was a great success and shows once again that education and technical support is in high demand,’ enthused Mr Dohrmann. ‘I was very impressed with the level of expertise the audio professionals in attendance displayed. It was great fun interacting with the audience and I am looking forward to the next seminar.’
