Adamson appoints MTC for Japanese distribution

JAPAN: Canadian loudspeaker manufacturer Adamson has appointed Matsuda Trading Corporation (MTC) as its exclusive distributor in Japan.

MTC reportedly first took an interest in the loudspeaker brand after meeting Brock and Jesse Adamson at a series of tradeshows in 2009 and 2010. ‘I was introduced to MTC by a mutual friend,’ confirmed Adamson's director of marketing and sales, Jesse Adamson. ‘It was clear from our first meeting that there was a great connection between Adamson and MTC. We have a similar vision of the marketplace and how to put Adamson where it belongs in Japan. To start, we plan to offer an introduction seminar in Japan in the New Year and as such we are looking forward to the future with a strong partner like MTC.’

MTC Japan exhibited the Adamson brand at the 2010 InterBEE exhibition in Tokyo, which gave many Japanese end-users, consultants and systems integrators a first glimpse of Adamson speakers. Having been in business since 1979, the company specialises in providing comprehensive A/V systems solutions for touring, corporate, broadcast and conferencing. In addition to consulting and sales, Matsuda's 30 strong staff also offer system design, installation, calibration and after sales service together with support for the fixed installation market and complete system support for the live sound market.

‘Adamson has a strong line of products,’ confirmed MTC Japan’s Yasuhiro Matsuoka. ‘But in addition to the existing range, there are some exciting products on the horizon. We can't wait for the release of Project Energia, in which Adamson has really taken things to another level.’
