Adamson helps open 29th ISME World Conference

CHINA: Adamson line arrays were recently used for the opening ceremony of 29th International Society for Musical Education (ISME) World Conference, which attracted thousands of representatives from 65 countries. The line arrays were supplied by Eastern Acoustic Development.

Known popularly as the ‘music education Olympics’, the 2010 ISME World Conference brought together a reported 5,000-strong audience for the opening ceremony, which took place in Beijing’s China National Convention Centre. The event adopted the theme ‘Harmony and the World Future’ for 12 performances designed to illustrate the musical history and traditions of countries and regions along the silk road, and how they interconnect.

Used to provide sound reinforcement for the performances were six Adamson Y18 line array elements flown at either side of the stage with three further Y18 enclosures stacked per side on the ground, plus four of the loudspeakers used as fills on stage. Stage signal transmission was via a LightViper VIM-1032 and VIM-1832 fibre transmission system.
