AEQ S.A. acquires Kroma Telecom

WORLD: AEQ S.A, has acquired the rights to the brand name Kroma Telecom S.A. in an agreement that also sees it buying 100 per cent of the company’s shares. The manufacturing and technical installations are set to move to AEQ’s headquarters together with the majority of Kroma’s personnel.
The merger has allowed Kroma Telecom, the only Spanish manufacturer of TFT monitors and intercom systems for broadcast applications, to continue conducting business. Since the acquisition, AEQ S.A. has already added two new product lines to its portfolio: Broadcast Video Monitors (TFT) in sizes from 4- to 46-inch, and Digital Intercom Systems, starting at 16x16 cross-points up to systems with over 1000 x 1000 ports.
According to AEQ, the move will reinforce several areas of the company, the most obvious being R&D and sales. The R&D department is currently preparing new projects to satisfy the demands of the TV Broadcast markets.
The radio and TV communications company’s reseller network will be reinforced with Kroma’s dealers and distributors and also its office in Mexico.
