AFMG announces Indian training dates

INDIA: AFMG has announced that it will be offering two training events for acousticians and audio professionals in India in January 2014.
The first of the training events is titled ‘Acoustical Simulation EASE Training’, and is to be held January 20-24th, 2014 in Pondicherry. AFMG will be offering the EASE seminar in conjunction with its Indian partner, Sound Wizard.
The training is split into two levels, comprising three days for Level 1 and two days for Level 2. Both levels will be held in English and will be instructed by Emad El-Saghir from
ADA Acoustics & Media Consultants GmbH.
Level 1 is an entry-level session aimed at users of EASE JR and for any engineers beginning modelling with EASE. The course covers the important elements of the main program. Basic general information on acoustics and sound system design will be provided during the course, but will not be the main focus.
Meanwhile, Level 2 continues on from Level 1, taking modelling with EASE to an advanced level. This session is intended for EASE users with some experience, or for people who wish to start immediately with higher-level projects, including AURA and EARS modules.
The second of the training events is named ‘Audio Measurement SysTune Training’, and is to be held on January 23-24th, 2014 in Pondicherry.
This two-day seminar is both for beginners as well as advanced system engineers and sound technicians. After the first day, AFMG states that participants will be able to make basic measurements and will have a general understanding of the tools and techniques used in measurement of sound systems.
The second day will then explore more advanced techniques using specific examples of sound systems. Windowing, intelligibility, and reverberation time will be included in the topics. This seminar will be held in English by live audio ‘veteran’ Sebastiaan Meijer.
